~1726 – ~1767
Other recorded names: Alice Willoughby (married); Alice Willouby (alias)
Documented wife of Thomas Willoughby in the separate Wolverhampton candidate family. Her displayed birth is a demographic estimate, not a located baptism: the midpoint of the conflicting 1750/1751-52 marriage dates minus the 1750-99 English mean first-marriage age for women (25.4). A 1767 burial names Alice Willouby and spouse Thos; the original place field says St Giles, Willenhall, so ~1767 is used as her probable death year. She is not accepted as a direct ancestor.

Other recorded names: Annie Willoughby (married); Annie Birt (married)
The proposed Agra birth and parents require a separate source audit. The 1896 civil index records her second marriage, as Annie Wiloughby, to Arthur James Birt; the 1901 death index records Annie Birt aged 38.
Evidence findings
1Daughter of Charles Nuttall and probably Isabella Stuart Saint
The census directly names Charles as Annie's father. Annie was born after Charles and Isabella's 1860 marriage and before Isabella's 1867 death, making Isabella the probable mother pending a birth or baptism entry.Other recorded events

2 April 1828, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom – registered 1914
Birmingham-born commercial traveller, recorded with his wife Angelina and their children in the 1861 and 1871 censuses. In 1901 he was a retired hardware commercial traveller at Handsworth with Angelina and daughters Grace Morris and Kate.
The 1914 Basford death registration is a strong identity match but the certificate is still needed to prove the exact date.

22 May 1807, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom – 4 September 1879, Invercargill, New Zealand
Birmingham-born iron founder who later lived at the Cape, in Victoria and Dunedin before settling at Invercargill. He worked as an accountant and municipal officer, served the Hospital Committee, and was appointed Town Clerk of Campbelltown in 1879.
The 1809 baptism records his birth on 22 May 1807 and names Benjamin and Susan as his parents. Contemporary newspapers establish his death at Invercargill on 4 September 1879; the Southland Times age appears inconsistent with the baptism and Melbourne notice.
Evidence findings
222 May 1807
The apparent 1807/1809 conflict is resolved: 1807 is the recorded birth and 1809 is the baptism date.4 September 1879 at Invercargill, New Zealand
Two contemporary newspaper notices independently identify the date and place; the obituary also supplies age and life history.Other recorded events

not yet established – 13 August 1821, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom
Named as father in the 1809 baptism. Birmingham Archives records Benjamin Willoughby of Lichfield Street dying 13 August 1821; the exact address matches the documented 1818 ring maker and strongly identifies this man. The 1839 Great Hampton Street manufacturer must instead be his adult son or a namesake. His baptism and parents remain unresolved.
Evidence findings
213 August 1821 at Lichfield Street, Birmingham
Birmingham Archives records the uncommon name and exact Lichfield Street address at death; the 1818 directory places the same-name ring maker at that address. The original obituary and burial are still wanted, but the identity and date are strong.Son of Thomas Willowby and Sarah Manning
Thomas and Sarah married in 1780 and had a separate infant Benjamin baptised that Christmas. They cannot be parents of the adult who married Ann Heeley in 1790.Other recorded events

12 August 1764 – not yet established
Baptised at Wolverhampton in 1764, son of Thomas and Alice. He is the leading candidate for the Birmingham groom after regional searches excluded obvious competitors. A 1787 Wolverhampton burial naming a father Benjamin adds local continuity, but no record directly connects the child to the adult; he remains outside the direct tree.
Evidence findings
1The older Benjamin Willoughby who married Ann Heeley and Susana Lawson
Correct name and age, close geography, no plausible regional competitor, and a father Benjamin at Wolverhampton in 1787 make this the leading candidate. No record supplies the adult's age, birthplace, parents, occupation continuity or signature, so Thomas and Alice remain outside the active direct ancestry.Sources

about 1857–1858, India – not yet established
The 1871 census calls Cecil Charles Nuttall's son. He predates Charles and Isabella's 1860 marriage, so Isabella's maternity remains unresolved.
Evidence findings
1Isabella Stuart Saint
Cecil appears as Charles's son in 1871 but predates Charles and Isabella's February 1860 marriage. Both spouses had earlier marriages, so Isabella's maternity remains unresolved.Other recorded events

about 1818–1819, York, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom – not yet established
York-born Army pensioner, widowed by 1871 and living in Southampton with Annie and three other children.
The 1871 census implies birth about 1818–1819. FamilySearch profile K4PD-XPJ merges this man with incompatible 1835 and 1844 baptisms.
Evidence findings
1Born about 1818–1819 in York, Yorkshire
The 1871 census consistently identifies Annie's father as a 52-year-old York-born pensioner. A merged collaborative profile gives 1835 and should not be treated as the same coherent identity without further work.Other recorded events

New Zealand medical practitioner. Official records use Ernest Edwyn Willoughby. He practised at Huntly, was appointed MBE and a Justice of the Peace in 1971, and was buried at Huntly Cemetery after his death on 25 December 1981.
The death index confirms the legal Edwyn spelling and exact birth date of 23 November 1913. No matching civil birth registration has yet been located; the 1941 marriage printout remains a research priority.
Evidence findings
423 November 1913
The official death index supplies the exact date and Edwyn spelling. The birth registration itself remains missing.M.B.E. and Justice of the Peace, 1971

~1724 – after ~1766 (statistically ~1783)
Documented husband of Alice Whorton and father in the separate Wolverhampton candidate family. The 1750 Staffordshire church-record index explicitly records his residence as Wolverhampton. His displayed birth is a demographic estimate, not a located baptism: the midpoint of the conflicting 1750/1751-52 marriage dates minus the 1750-99 English mean first-marriage age for men (27.1). His death is bounded only as after about 1766 from the conception of the child baptised in 1767; the ~1783 midpoint is a very low-confidence population estimate. A Thomas Willoby of Wolverhampton married Elizabeth Pool in 1772 after Alice's burial, and Elizabeth wife of Thos was buried at St Peter, Wolverhampton, in 1784; this is a plausible but unproved widower remarriage and is shown dotted. He is not accepted as a direct ancestor.
Evidence findings
1Possibly remarried Elizabeth Pool at Bushbury on 18 August 1772
The groom was resident in Wolverhampton and the marriage occurred after Alice's probable burial. An Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Willoby, was then buried at St Peter, Wolverhampton, in 1784. Neither record supplies ages, occupation, parents or a former spouse, so this remains a dotted hypothesis and contributes no evidence for Thomas's ancestry.Other recorded events

about 1803, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom – January–March 1874, Thingoe registration district, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom
Other recorded names: Mary Bullock (married)
The 27 February 1803 christening index names Thomas Foulger and Honour Baker as her parents. This date was miscopied in the supplied tree as a death in 1805, but Mary married in 1823 and was still alive with William at Fornham St Martin in the 1871 census. A FreeBMD entry for Mary Bullock aged 68 in Thingoe in the March quarter of 1874, on the same volume and page as William's entry, is the strongest death candidate.
Evidence findings
227 February 1805
The supplied date is a corrupted copy of Mary's 27 February 1803 christening. She married William in 1823 and appears as his wife in 1871, so she cannot have died in 1805.Daughter of Thomas Foulger and Honour Baker

about 1773, Rougham, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom – 1859, Thingoe registration district, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom
The 1796 marriage, 1851 Fornham household and 1859 Thingoe death index form a coherent record trail. A 1773 baptism names Thomas and Elizabeth, but its indexed place is Sudbury while Richard consistently reported Rougham; those parents remain candidates.
Evidence findings
1Possible son of Thomas Bullock and Elizabeth Sherman
The 1773 baptism names Thomas and Elizabeth, and their 1752 marriage is documented, but the baptism is indexed at Sudbury while adult Richard reported Rougham.Other recorded events

about 1731, Sudbury, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom – 7 May 1817 (compiled)
Christened 2 September 1731 as a son of William and Elizabeth Bullock. His 1752 marriage to Elizabeth Sherman is directly indexed. The proposed link to Richard remains provisional because Richard's attached baptism conflicts with his later stated birthplace.

7 December 1719 – not yet established
Documented child in a Lichfield Thomas Willoughby–Alice Hall family. FamilySearch profile MHKZ-CVF incorrectly combines Lichfield and Wolverhampton child records, including two Elizabeths and two Marys. The 1750 groom and bride are indexed as residents of Wolverhampton. This man is therefore only a weak age-compatible namesake, probably a separate person, and is not accepted as Alice Whorton's husband.
Evidence findings
1Thomas Willoughby who married Alice Whorton in 1750 or 1751/52
The Lichfield child is old enough, but the 1750 marriage index places both spouses in Wolverhampton and FamilySearch profile MHKZ-CVF merges parallel Lichfield and Wolverhampton child groups. No record links the 1719 child to Alice Whorton or Wolverhampton. Treat him only as a weak age-compatible namesake and do not attach him as an ancestor.Sources

about 1800, Fornham St Martin, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom – January–March 1874, Thingoe registration district, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom
His 1800 Fornham St Martin christening names Richard Bullock and Rebecca Mannihy Bullock as parents. The mother's indexed surname conflicts with Merrington in the couple's 1796 marriage, but the local records and William's adult census birthplace strongly correlate the family. FreeBMD records a William Bullock aged 74 dying in Thingoe in the March quarter of 1874, a strong match to this man.
Evidence findings
1Son of Richard Bullock and Rebecca Merrington / Mannihy
William's 1800 baptism names Richard and Rebecca; the local marriage and adult birthplace strongly correlate the family. Rebecca's indexed surname Mannihy still needs checking against Merrington in the marriage transcription.Other recorded events
